Heather Anne Campbell (How Did This Get Played?, The Twilight Zone) joins Mark and Jeremy in finding out that this episode of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! is not at all a parody of Planet of the Apes, but is, in fact, a Tarzan thing. It’s weird and dumb and Mario is way too hairy for anyone’s comfort. In the live-action segment, uh, some guy tells Mario that if he is super nice to Luigi for a day he will give him a ring with a chipmunk on it because they’re all in a chipmunk group. Like the Boy Scouts, but with Chipmunks, and possibly sex.
